Group Of Death For India

India finds itself in the group with minnows that are more capable of causing an upset. Each group has four stronger teams, which are expected to progress to the next group. The two minnows that have caused upsets in the last edition of the World Cup are placed in the same group as that of India.  One of them has edged India out of the last edition of the World Cup when the minnows comprehensively defeated the Indian team in the league stage.

This time an improved Bangladesh will take on a more stronger Indian team in the first game of the league stage. The other such team that could cause an upset is Ireland. Ireland defeated a stronger Pakistan team in the league stage and eliminated them from the tournament. Ireland is also placed in the same group as that of India this time. Moreover the two other stronger teams South Africa and England are also present in India's group. That could also mean that India will have a relatively lesser opponent in the knockout stage.

But the two bowlers that caused India the upset in the last edition are no more part of the team. Similarly some Indian players from the last edition of the World Cup are also replaced by other players who had notable success in the recent past.
